DAVID DUCHOVNY - DUCHOVNY GIVES DEGENERES A SWEATY TREAT

Hollywood actor DAVID DUCHOVNY gave pal ELLEN DeGENERES an unsavoury treat this morning (07APR04) - when he arrived on her chat show with smelly armpits.

The former X-FILES star rushed to the Los Angeles studio of DeGeneres' show with no time to take a shower.

He explained to DeGeneres, "I just came from the gym. I was boxing and I was working out and I was supposed to shower at a friend's house but he didn't show up. So I was supposed to shower here, they said you had combination to the shower here, but I did not. So I have not showered. I apologise."

A bemused DeGeneres remarked, "You've been boxing and you smell this good? That's amazing!"

But the comedienne then leaned in to sniff Duchovny's armpit and quickly confirmed, "No, you haven't!"
