SARAH FERGUSON - DUCHESS ALMOST ATE HERSELF TO DEATH

British royal SARAH FERGUSON battled an eating disorder that almost killed her after her parents divorced in 1975.

The DUCHESS OF YORK confesses she turned to comfort eating after the trauma of the split, because she blamed herself for the disintegration of her family.

The 44-year-old - herself divorced from PRINCE ANDREW - says, "I ate it away - I suffocated it into food. I can't imagine that I'm still alive. Imagine if I'd attached on to drugs or alcohol instead.

"I was the most insecure, oversensitive person you'll meet."
