SHARON OSBOURNE - DRASTIC SECURITY MEASURES FOR OSBOURNE AND COWELL'S SHOWDOWN

Organisers of tomorrow's (22DEC04) BRITISH COMEDY AWARDS have hired extra security because they're terrified the feud between SHARON OSBOURNE and SIMON COWELL will erupt at the ceremony.

The X FACTOR judges' mutual loathing escalated during the final episode of the British TV talent show, when Sharon hit out at Cowell's protege STEVE BROOKSTEIN.

And the warring pair will both be presenting comedy awards at the London event, so the show's producer, MICHAEL HURLL has increased security measures to prevent a high-profile fight.

Hurll explains, "We were worried that the tension has been rising since the X Factor final, with the whole Osbourne family in tow, we felt extra security may be needed for the night."
