ROBERT DOWNEY JR credits his fiancee with forcing him to alter his cynical outlook on love.

The troubled GOTHIKA actor, 40, admits future wife SUSAN LEVINE has given him a new lease of life, following years of vehemently rubbishing the romantic notion of a "soulmate".

He says, "She's a great gal and I'm not saying I buy too much into the whole soulmate or everyone-has-their-partner thing, but it certainly seems like it's panning out that way."

The loved-up pair plan to tie the knot in August (05).
