MICHAEL DOUGLAS's DJ son CAMERON poked fun at his former hell-raising reputation - by kicking off his European tour in a German club called THE BETTY FORD CLINIC.

Cameron, 25, reportedly requested the venue as his first-stop as a jokey reference to his time spent in America's real Betty Ford Clinic, where he conquered his demons.

And the IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY star is glad to have finally started the tour this week (begs29MAR04) as he has no ambitions to forge a successful acting career like his OSCAR-winning father and grandfather KIRK.

He explains, "I don't want to deny my father and grandfather. I just prefer to play good music."

Douglas earns about $3,661 (GBP2,006) per night playing progressive house music.
