DON JOHNSON - DON JOHNSON'S MONEY MATTERS CLEARED UP

LATEST: American actor DON JOHNSON has been spared any further drama over money wrangled with German authorities, after officials decided not to take proceedings against him.
The former MIAMI VICE star was at the centre of reports in March (03) that he was stopped at the Swiss-German border after customs officials found credit notes and other securities worth a staggering $8 billion (GBP5.3 billion) in his luggage.
But the actor maintained the papers found in his car had been left by potential film investors, and that the whole ordeal is causing him "unbelievable grief".
And now LEONHARD BIERL, spokesman for Germany's CUSTOMS CRIME OFFICE in Cologne has indeed ruled that the documents, meant to serve as a security for a business deal, belonged to one of Johnson's fellow passengers.
Bierl explains, "The whole thing is off the burner as far as we're concerned. We're very sorry that the story was leaked to the media and caused so much mishap for Mr Johnson."
