THE SOPRANOS - DOMINIC CHIANESE GOES BACK TO HIS ROOTS
THE SOPRANOS star DOMINIC CHIANESE has released his second album today (03JUN03) - at the grand old age of 70.
Although Chianese, who plays UNCLE JUNIOR in the hit TV show, has been singing in public since the age of three, it was only last year (02) he released his first album.
He says, "It's never too late to start.
"They're songs from my Italian heritage, songs my grandfather used to sing all the time. There are Neapolitan songs sung in Neapolitan dialect, songs in Tuscan dialect. I have about 15 more Italian songs I'd like to record."
Chianese, who performs every Monday at New York's SOFIA'S, is planning to tour with his music for spot dates around America, once he has finished filming the latest season of the Sopranos.
