DOLLY PARTON - DOLLY THRILLED WITH MAE WEST ROLE

Country icon DOLLY PARTON has signed up to play feisty silver screen goddess MAE WEST in an upcoming TV movie, and she admits it's a part she's been longing to play.

The singer jumped at the chance to play the blonde bombshell because it will be her first chance to try out a non-southern accent in a movie.

The 9 T0 5 star says, "They came to me and said I'd be perfect for the role. When I took on the role I realised how much we have in common.

"We're not only little short blondes, we have a good healthy attitude about life and sex and the body. It's gonna be intriguing."
