DOLLY PARTON - DOLLY PARTON UNITES NATIONS DURING WAR

As war continues in Iraq and beyond, DOLLY PARTON brought several nations together with her FESTIVAL OF NATIONS celebration at DOLLYWOOD over the weekend (05/06APR03).

Held in her native East Tennessee, America, theme park, country superstar Parton's Festival Of Nations celebrates various countries' cultures - with food and entertainment from places like China, Russia, Turkey, and many others.

Parton says that bringing nations together through fun and entertainment during these tough times can give people a small break from the world's problems.

She explains, "Maybe there'll come a time whether in this lifetime or another one, you know, that we can all live together in peace. "But in the meantime, life does go on and we're trying very hard, especially this year, to try to make people forget the troubles for a little bit.

"Not forgetting what's going on and certainly not forgetting to remember everybody in our prayers. You know, everybody that's affected by war."
