LATEST: Rocker PETE DOHERTY's riot-inducing no-show at a recent London concert is poised to cost the singer dearly - because the support act's equipment was destroyed in the ruckus.

Trouble was sparked at the British capital's Astoria venue on Saturday (18DEC04) when drug addict and ex-LIBERTINE Doherty failed to turn up for his gig with new band BABYSHAMBLES.

In the ensuing chaos, support group CAZALS watched helplessly as furious fans stormed the stage and smashed up their instruments.

Doherty is now facing a giant bill to compensate Cazals for their loss.
