PETE DOHERTY - DOHERTY RELEASED ON BAIL

LATEST: Troubled British rocker PETE DOHERTY has been released on bail until June (06) following his arrest on suspicion of possessing class A drugs yesterday (20APR06). The BABYSHAMBLES frontman and an unnamed 21-year-old man were held overnight after plain clothed police officers stopped a car in east London. Just hours before the arrest, a London judge had ordered Doherty to spend 18 months attending a drugs rehabilitation programme after he pleaded guilty to possessing heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis. The rocker, who had faced prison over the charges, was also placed on a two-year supervision order and banned from driving for six months at the hearing.
