PETE DOHERTY - DOHERTY: 'I'LL FIGHT RACISM SINGLE-HANDEDLY'

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has vowed to fight racism "single-handedly" when he performs with his band BABYSHAMBLES at London's LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM festival next month (01MAY05).
Doherty will join ESTELLE, MC LADY SOVEREIGN and TERRI WALKER at the show, to raise awareness of charity organisation UNITE AGAINST FASCISM's campaign to stop discrimination.
And the ex-LIBERTINE is confident his appearance at the concert will pay a large contribution towards the decline of racism.
He says, "I don't think you have to be a particularly developed human being intellectually or spiritually to despise racism.
"It may be easy to be complacent, but we need to encourage people to fight racism whether with words or actions. Count me in.
"I'll be there, fighting racism single-handedly."
