BABYSHAMBLES frontman PETE DOHERTY's ideal rock 'n' roll partner is SIR ELTON JOHN - because they're both legendary for their drug abuse and sexual conquests.

Speaking ahead of his performance with John of the T-REX hit CHILDREN OF THE REVOLUTION at the London leg of Live 8 yesterday (02JUL05), Doherty was bursting with admiration for the flamboyant singer, but more for his outrageous lifestyle than his musical prowess.

Doherty told British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Elton is a legend.

"He's more rock 'n' roll than anyone. He's f**ked more people than anyone, and taken more drugs than anyone - even me."
