PETE DOHERTY - DOHERTY BLASTED FOR FAILING TO LIVE UP TO HYPE

Troubled singer PETE DOHERTY's high-profile heroin addiction has been slammed by fellow British rockers KAISER CHIEFS, who's disgusted with rock stars who use drugs to gain a heroic reputation.

Singer RICKY WILSON has blasted the former LIBERTINES star for squandering a successful career by spiralling into drug addiction and courting the frenzied media interest in his hedonistic escapades.

He says, "I just think he's a bit of a wally. He had the world at his finger tips and he's thrown it all away.

"He's supposed to be this hero and voice of a generation but at the end of the day I don't want my heroes slurring their words."
