DODGEBALL STAR'S LUCKY PANTS

Argentine actress JULIE GONZALO is so superstitious, she wears pink "granny panties" every Christmas Day.

The DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY star picked up the habit from her mother, who would always wear pink underwear at family Christmas gatherings.

Gonzalo explains, "It's an embarrassing tradition. My mom has this thing that on Christmas you have to wear pink underwear and every year it's the same thing.

"I'd be like, 'Mom, who cares? Nobody is going to see it.' Every year I get pink Granny underwear for Christmas. She'll say, 'It's for luck.' She is so superstitious."

But, now she's an actress, Gonzalo admits she's trying to find lucky charms everywhere.

She adds, "I always wore the red string for the evil eye. We were very Catholic when I was growing up and my mother always thought a little red string on your hand and on your leg would keep the evil eye away. I used to follow her.

"My grandma and my mom had so much faith in this sort of thing that you start to believe too.

"My grandma actually had this prayer that she did if I had a headache and my headache would be gone. Maybe it was because I believed in religion and faith that it all came together. It's weird."
