Hollywood hardman VIN DIESEL is desperate to start a family of his own after getting in touch with his paternal side during filming for upcoming comedy THE PACIFIER.

The XXX star, who plays a US Navy Seal, loved working with the movie's child stars and quickly discovered he has a calming influence with infants.

The 37-year-old says, "There were two 9-month-old babies and two 3-year-old kids, one of which I was usually holding. Everyone would look to me to stop any crying.

"They called me the Baby Whisperer. Eventually I'll have to stop working so hard and create a family."
