DIE HARD - DIE HARD DIRECTOR CHARGED WITH LYING TO FBI
LATEST: DIE HARD director JOHN MCTIERNAN has been charged with lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation when quizzed about his relationship with Hollywood private detective ANTHONY PELLICANO. MCTiernon told federal investigators last month (MAR06) he had no knowledge of Pellicano's wiretapping - but the FBI claim MCTiernan hired Pellicano to tap phone calls involving producer CHARLES ROVEN, who worked with him on ROLLERBALL. MCTiernan, 55, was yesterday (03APR06) charged with making a false statement and could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison if convicted. Pellicano stands accused of wiretapping a number of Hollywood stars he was hired to investigate, including SYLVESTER STALLONE. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
