LEONARDO DICAPRIO - DICAPRIO SCOTCHES AVIATOR SEQUEL RUMOURS

Hollywood heart-throb LEONARDO DiCAPRIO has no intention of starring as HOWARD HUGHES in a sequel to THE AVIATOR, because he is convinced the story of the entrepreneur's later life is too dark.
The GANGS OF NEW YORK superstar would find it hard to portray the fallout after Hughes' severe mental breakdown - and he feels the tale would be more viable as a one-man stage show.
He tells EMPIRE magazine, "It would certainly make a great stage play, a one-man show. I think that's the reason that movie never got made.
"It is such a sinister, dark period in the man's life and you're dealing with the aftermath of a man's mental breakdown, as opposed to a man battling with those forces and trying to suppress them."
