JOHNNY DEPP is to become a nightclub owner again - 12 years after actor RIVER PHOENIX died in his Los Angeles venue.
The 42-year-old Hollywood hunk, whose VIPER ROOM hotspot was the scene of the late star's drugs overdose in October 1993, has invested in Las Vegas's Empire Ballroom with long-term business partner SALVATORE JENCO.
The pair aim to restore the nightspot to "an era of lost elegance and service."
