DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - DENTON DEVASTATED OVER BASEBALL TRANSFER

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star JAMES DENTON is still reeling after baseball player JOHNNY DAMON quit the Boston Red Sox for arch-rivals New York Yankees.

Denton, who plays hunky plumber MIKE DELFINO in the hit show, is a huge Red Sox fan and was horrified when the sports ace defected to the Big Apple team in December (05).

Denton says, "It's hard to forgive him.

"It was an odd sort of disrespect for tradition. I didn't get it. I still don't get it. How he could do it? It was very unseemly.

"He came from Kansas City to Boston. He was embraced there. For what little difference there was monetarily or in terms of years, it made no sense to me. It's hard to pull for him now."
