THE HOURS - DALDRY ASKS STUDENTS FOR HELP WITH FILM

THE HOURS director STEPHEN DALDRY has asked a group of students to help make his new movie scientifically plausible.

The OSCAR-nominated film-maker is making EVEREST, about the night in May 1996 when six mountaineers died climbing the peak, and is flummoxed at how the summit would look.

So, during a lecture to students at England's OXFORD UNIVERSITY, crafty Daldry asked for help.

He said, "I need scientific help in how to re-create the mountain summit and the dangerous effects of high altitude."
