THE DA VINCI CODE - DA VINCI CODE BANNED IN FOURTH INDIAN STATE
THE DA VINCI CODE has been banned in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu following calls for it to remain unseen by local Christian leaders. The Tamil Nadu government's decision makes it the fourth Indian state to outlaw the RON HOWARD-directed movie. Christian leaders have argued The Da Vinci Code, based on the DAN BROWN bestseller, might damage the area's religious beliefs. The local government agreed the film could "lead to demonstrations and disrupt peace and tranquility".
