DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - CROSS SIGNS UP FOR CANCER EVENT TO HELP SICK PAL

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS has signed up to help promote REVLON's annual Run/Walk For Women's Breast Cancer event after learning her best pal is fighting the disease.

The redhead actress will appear in an upcoming public service announcement heralding this year's charity event, which will take place in New York and Los Angeles over successive weekends on 30 April (05) and 7 May (05).

JULIANNE MOORE and MARISKA HARGITAY will lead the New York event at the end of the month (APR05), while Cross and HALLE BERRY will walk in Los Angeles the following weekend.

Cross says of her pal, "She's doing well but I mean it certainly changes your entire life. You always think it can't happen to you and then it comes right into your life circle."
