DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS is hoping to head to the stage in the near future to appear in a Broadway show.

The redhead actress, who is currently on hiatus from her hit TV show, admits she's been eyeing up the possibility of appearing onstage in New York for a long time.

She says, "I thought a lot about it this summer, but I was so tired and really needed a rest."
