SIMON COWELL - COWELL SLAMMED FOR CRUELTY BY COLLINS

Reality TV host SIMON COWELL has been slammed by veteran rocker PHIL COLLINS for insulting wannabe singers on his television talent shows.

ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE singer Collins takes particular exception to the way Cowell - dubbed MR NASTY - appears to enjoy humiliating contestants on AMERICAN IDOL and UK programme THE X FACTOR.

Collins says,"I really think his shows are all about being rude to people.

"I've been on the French version, called STAR ACADEMY. But it's more like an old-time variety show and I'm a big fan of that.

"Simon is cruel and that's all there is to it. It's all about him being witty and cutting. I really hate it."
