LATEST: THE PEOPLE VS LARRY FLINT star COURTNEY LOVE has done something genuinely unexpected - apologised to someone she upset.

The hell-raising HOLE singer is well known for her blunt comments, but after verbally lashing out at former lover EDWARD NORTON's new lady, OSCAR-nominated actress SALMA HAYEK, Courtney decided to swallow her words.

Having previously said that she could "barely understand half of what (Salma's) saying", the CELEBRITY SKIN album-maker took back her words and said, "I especially apologise to Ms Hayek, who is nothing if not brilliant, with a loving relationship and a massive IQ, not to mention a firm grip and style with the English language."
