Rock hellraiser COURTNEY LOVE has shocked America again - by exposing her bare breasts to talk show host DAVID LETTERMAN during an appearance on his talk show last night (17MAR04).

During a wacky interview with the veteran host, the singer talked to herself before climbing onto his desk, singing DANNY BOY and lifting her top to reveal her breasts, boasting, "I haven't shown by boobs for so long."

Frantic producers managed to blur out the image of Love's surgically enhanced bosom - only weeks after JANET JACKSON brought America to a standstill after exposing herself during a live SUPERBOWL show.

THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN appearance came just a day after Love appeared in court in Los Angeles to face drugs charges after police found her allegedly attempting to break into an ex-lover's California home and she subsequently overdosed last October (03).

Letterman attempted to quiz the star on the subject, but she insisted the drugs were just "one expired Percocet and one Ambien" - a pain-killer and a sleeping pill.

And when he asked her how her life was going, she joked about her brushes with the law, replying, "Going great. Handcuffed in the bedroom, handcuffed outside."

After her chat with the veteran host, Love embarked on a night out in New York - where the show is shot - and was arrested by police for throwing a microphone stand at an unnamed man. She now faces charges of reckless endangerment and another of third-degree assault.
