Controversial rocker COURTNEY LOVE's long awaited solo album has been given a title - AMERICA'S SWEETHEART.

Ex-HOLE singer Love - the widow of NIRVANA frontman KURT COBAIN - is currently in Europe, working on songs which will form the follow-up to her former band's 1998 long player CELEBRITY SKIN.

Fans will get the chance to hear the album when it is released in the late summer (03), and Courtney will play live at Britain's Reading and Leeds festivals in August (03).
