AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS star STEVE COOGAN is facing a bitter divorce battle with wife CAROLINE HICKMAN - following the revelation he cheated on her with two lapdancers.

Hickman was devastated last weekend (ends25APR04) when a British tabloid reported a tryst between her husband and two busty beauties, and has ordered him out of their home.

And sources close to the troubled couple say 39-year-old Coogan is distraught by his wife's reaction and is desperate to convince her to take him back

An insider says, "Caroline has just had enough. It seems every time he goes out he ends up in trouble.

"The last straw was when he was caught with these two women. Caroline was devastated."

"Steve is not at a happy stage in his life. Caroline, who he loves and adores, is about to walk."
