THE CONSTANT GARDENER - CONSTANT GARDENER RETURNS TO KENYA
OSCAR nominated movie THE CONSTANT GARDENER is being taken back to Kenya for a charity premiere next week (22FEB06).
Producer SIMON CHANNING WILLIAMS and actor PETE POSTLETHWAITE will attend the screening in Nairobi in aid of the Constant Gardener Trust. During the trip the pair will also open a school built by the trust in the village of Loyangalani.
Channing Williams says, "I'm delighted to bring the film back to Kenya, the country that was so welcoming to the production, and it is particularly gratifying that the film's premiere will benefit The Constant Gardener Trust."
The trust was set up by a group of the film-makers after shooting finished last year (05).
The Kenyan-set political thriller, starring RALPH FIENNES and RACHEL WEISZ, has been nominated for four Academy Awards.
