HARRY CONNICK JNR is happy to stay off celebrity guest lists - so he doesn't have to worry about going out of fashion.

The IT HAD TO BE YOU singer, 36, feels a greater amount of freedom and security when he's left off "in" lists.

The busy star - who also acts in American TV sitcom WILL + GRACE as DEBRA MESSING's husband - says, "They have those lists in magazines of what's in and what's out, and if you're classed as the 'in' thing then there's nowhere to go - except out again.

"To be honest, I'd rather be on the 'out' list."

Connick Jnr, who has more acting roles in the pipeline, is concentrating on new album ONLY YOU at the moment.
