GEORGE WYLE - COMPOSER GEORGE WYLE DIES

Legendary composer GEORGE WYLE has died at the age of 87.

Wyle, who wrote the TV theme song to GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, the Christmas classic THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR and more than 400 other songs, died on Friday (02MAY03) of leukaemia at the ENCINO-TARZANA REGIONAL CENTER in Tarzana, California.

Wyle also worked as choral director for such TV shows as THE DINAH SHORE SHOW, THE JERRY LEWIS SHOW and THE ANDY WILLIAMS SHOW.
