COMEDY SWIMMER FEARS CHANNEL SWIM
LATEST: British comedy actor DAVID WALLIAMS is scared he won't complete his gruelling 21-mile charity swim across the English Channel. Despite a rigorous training regime, the LITTLE BRITAIN star thinks he only has a 50 per cent chance of making it to France. Walliams, who has taken on the challenge for charity Sports Relief, says, "I reckon I have a 50/50 chance of getting across. I hope people see it as a symbolic thing. "I wanted to do something dramatic for Sports Relief, but hadn't really thought through how hard it would be when I agreed to do it. "It was two years away and I though, 'Great, that will be fun.' Now it's a month away and I'm very scared. "I mean, I could get pulled out because of bad weather or something like that beyond my control or if I get hypothermia, but I'm giving it everything I've got. Like, about half the people who attempt it don't make it across - who knows?" Depending on weather conditions, Walliams will make the attempt between 28 June and 15 July (06).
