SEAN COMBS - COMBS TO BRING BROADWAY PLAY TO TV

SEAN COMBS is making the Broadway, New York play A RAISIN IN THE SUN into a television movie. Combs and the main cast from the 2004 musical, including PHYLICIA RASHAD, AUDRA MCDONALD and SANAA LATHAN, will reprise their roles. The I DON'T WANNA KNOW singer will executive produce the project, as well as take a large role in supervising the soundtrack. He explains, "There are so many things the younger generation can get out of this. "It's an American story of overcoming obstacles that still rings true. "It's important for people of colour, especially younger ones, to see this." The film begins shooting in Toronto, Canada in December (06) and will debut on US network ABC.
