BILLY PRESTON - COMATOSE PRESTON CAUGHT UP IN FAMILY FEUD

The sisters of comatose BILLY PRESTON are fighting his manager for the chance to stage a bedside vigil beside the soul great. The NOTHING FROM NOTHING singer, who was once dubbed the fifth Beatle after recording GET BACK with the Fab Four, signed medical power of attorney papers over to his manager JOYCE MOORE before he slipped into a coma after a failed kidney transplant last year (05). In the documents he insisted that Moore, the wife of SAM + DAVE star SAM MOORE, made sure his sisters and other family members stayed away from him as he fought for life. But siblings LETTIE and RODENA are fighting to see their brother because they're convinced he would never have asked to be removed from his family. Moore insists that's exactly what Preston wanted because he never wanted his health to become part of a family circus. She says, "He's got complicated medical issues and needs the best chance he can to recover. "Billy has always been a very private person. He never wanted to become a spectacle and suddenly he is, because of some family members. This is not what he wanted." Despite being denied temporary guardianship by a court in Arizona earlier this month (APR06), the Preston sisters are pressing on with related guardianship applications.
