COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY MAKE LIVE RETURN

British rockers COLDPLAY played their first live show in almost two years last week (11MAR05) - and aired material from their hugely anticipated third album X+Y.

The IN MY PLACE hitmakers put on the secret warm up show at Los Angeles' Troubador club with tickets only going on sale at 5pm on Friday, but some fans queued from 8.30am to secure their place after news of the gig spread.

Taking to the stage, singer CHRIS MARTIN said, "Well, here we are once again. We can't quite believe we're back and playing a concert, and that some of you waited since about February."

The band performed four new songs including SQUARE ONE, WHITE SHADOWS and WHAT IF, as well as a host of their biggest hits.
