KURT COBAIN - COBAIN BIOPIC TO AIR ON AMERICAN TV
A movie chronicling the life and career of KURT COBAIN is set to hit American TV screens this year (04).
The WB NETWORK is developing an original film about the late NIRVANA frontman - based on the CHARLES R CROSS 2001 book HEAVIER THAN HEAVEN: A BIOGRAPHY OF KURT COBAIN - scheduled to hit primetime TV later in the year.
TANA NUGENT JAMIESON from WB says, "The day Kurt Cobain died was the day music died for a generation.
"His story is perfect for our audience."
The film will trace the rock singer's life from his troubled youth near Seattle, America, to his pioneering role in the grunge music scene as part of Nirvana. The darker side of Cobain's personality - including his bouts of depression and his turbulent relationship with wife COURTNEY LOVE - will also feature in the film.
ROBERT MUNIC - who has been commissioned to write the script - says the film will not be "your traditional biopic".
