Former American President BILL CLINTON is "killing" himself trying to finish his eagerly-awaited autobiography MY LIFE.

The Arkansas-born politician, 57, is reportedly being paid up to $14.4 million (GBP8 million) to pen the tome, which is scheduled to hit book shelves next month (JUN04), published by RANDOM HOUSE's KNOPF imprint

Clinton told glossy publication VANITY FAIR, "I am literally hardly sleeping.

"I am working around-the-clock. I am killing myself because I want it done."

He added it was "hard enough to live my life the first time. The second time has really been tough."

When it is eventually finished, book sales are predicted to be record-breaking. The book is already top of the best-sellers list on online American booksellers website BARNES+NOBLE.COM through pre-orders.
