ERIC CLAPTON - CLAPTON FISHES FOR LONGER LIFE

Rocker ERIC CLAPTON credits his relaxing fishing hobby with preserving his laid-back manner.

The 60-year-old spends all his spare time by the river-side with rod-in-hand - and he is convinced it is keeping him young and extending his life.

He says, "I love fly fishing. It is so different from what I do for a living that it's almost like meditation for me. I think that because I'm a country boy I need to get back in touch with the power of nature.

"The Chinese say that every day spent fishing is another added on to your life, which is nice to know."
