CHARLOTTE CHURCH - CHURCH'S CIGARETTE HABIT DOOMED LOVE AFFAIR

CHARLOTTE CHURCH's jilted lover blames her incessant smoking for the breakdown of their 14-month affair.

KYLE JOHNSON, 20, was disgusted at the frequency of her habit and regularly piled pressure on her to quit - but he fears his constant hassling may have contributed to their split.

Johnson says, "I went on about it (smoking) so much she cut down to one a day. She told me, 'I know it's bad for me but I need to smoke to relax. I need that one fag.'

"But whenever she went out boozing she'd keep lighting up and I'd get annoyed. I'd tell her to stop her. But when Charlotte has had a drink she can't keep it buttoned and she'd have a go back."

The pair separated earlier this month (FEB05) following a series of blistering rows.
