CHARLOTTE CHURCH - CHURCH VETOES MOVIE ROLE

Teen superstar CHARLOTTE CHURCH has turned down a starring role in a movie - because she thinks the part is too challenging.
The VOICE OF AN ANGEL singer, who turned 18 last month (FEB04), was offered the lead part in British film A WAY OF LIFE opposite OSCAR-winner BRENDA BLETHYN.
But Church decided the movie's themes of teenage pregnancy and racism were too much to ask of her talents.
Writer and director AMMA ASANTE says, "Charlotte read the script. As far as I know, she liked it but felt that it was too soon for her to take on a part like this.
"She didn't feel experienced enough. She is probably right. It is a heavy part."
Church made her acting debut in last year's (03) flop I'LL BE THERE.
