CHARLOTTE CHURCH - CHURCH DISCS RETURNED

LATEST: CHARLOTTE CHURCH is celebrating after thieves mysteriously returned four gold discs stolen from her mother's guesthouse in Cardiff, Wales.

The awards were discovered in a plastic bag earlier today (08FEB06), having been dumped in the grounds of the Church Hotel.

Baffled British police are eagerly awaiting the results of forensic examinations on the unique items, which they hope will lead them to those responsible for the burglary.

South Wales Police's DORIAN LLOYD says, "By bringing the matter into the public arena, we seem to have prevented anyone from accepting or distributing what are highly unique items.

"Inquiries are still ongoing into the burglary but we are very pleased that the items have been recovered.

"The discs have been brought back in the same condition they were stolen and the family are absolutely delighted they have been returned."
