JOHN F KENNEDY - CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR ADMITS TO JFK AFFAIR AFTER BOOK EXPOSE

A 60-year-old church administrator has confessed she had an affair with tragic former American President JOHN F KENNEDY - after the truth was exposed by a historian.

MARIANNE MIMI FONDENSTOCK has kept her secret for 41 years but released a statement on Friday (16MAY03) admitting that writer ROBERT DALLEK's new findings in his book JOHN F KENNEDY: AN UNFINISHED LIFE are accurate.

The affair apparently occurred while she was working as a teenage intern at the WHITE HOUSE.

Fondenstock, a grandmother, is still refusing to talk about her liaison with Kennedy in the early 1960s, but Dallek is delighted she has come forward.

He says, "It's a bit disturbing to think that not just a man in his mid-40s but the president of the United States should have this fling with a 19-year-old.

"It's puzzling and it raises questions about his personality and his needs.

"His wife, JACKIE, did have some understanding of his philandering. I don't know that she knew specifically about the affair with the intern, but she did know he was a philanderer."
