ROBBIE WILLIAMS' bid for American superstardom has suffered a further blow - pop minx CHRISTINA AGUILERA has turned down the chance to duet with him.

After topping the charts in Europe Robbie has taken his talents across the Atlantic. But the US has yet to take to his cheeky charms and sales of his album ESCAPOLOGY are struggling.

The pop prince hoped DIRRTY singer Aguilera could help him win over music fans stateside - but the sultry star has declined the offer.

She says, "I think he's cute, but our styles are different. We would not gel.

"He should try MARIAH (CAREY) - she loves to duet."

Williams' bosses are now rumoured to be lining up SHANIA TWAIN as a prospective singing partner.
