JOAN CHEN - CHEN RETURNS AFTER BABY TRAGEDIES

Motherhood is magical for TWIN PEAKS star JOAN CHEN - because she suffered six miscarriages before becoming a mum-of-two.

The 44-year-old actress is just returning to acting after taking four years off to be a stay-at-home mum, and she says the break has made her a better person.

She says, "I lost six pregnancies to have two children. I tried so hard to be a mother. I was so determined and overcame so much sadness. I lost two pregnancies in between the two children.

"Actresses are usually self-centred and this is one cure that you learn that you are not the most important thing."
