CHELSEA CLINTON's jilted boyfriend has flown to Iceland in a desperate attempt to win her back.

IAN KLAUS met former US President BILL CLINTON's daughter while they were studying together at OXFORD UNIVERSITY.

They split last month (MAR03) amid rumours Chelsea had been spotted with another man.

But Ian seems to have found the break-up hard to accept.

After pursuing the 23-year-old around Oxford, reports in the American media claim Ian has jetted off to Iceland - where Chelsea is visiting a friend - in a bid to woo her back.

A source, quoted in British tabloid the DAILY EXPRESS, says, "After her decision to cool things way down, Chelsea began going around Oxford with other boys, but Ian kept on showing up at her place begging her back. Even when she flew back to New York he was still calling her."

But it seems his recent attempts at a reconciliation may be in vain.

The source adds, "Even though Ian flew to Iceland from London, there is no telling if Chelsea will take him back.

"She has given the impression that she will be playing the field for a while to determine how she really feels."
