    • Hollywood legend CHARLTON HESTON has ended his glittering career in the public eye on a quiet note.

    The BEN HUR star, 78, is suffering from Alzheimer's disease and cannot walk unaided or speak anymore, so he held a silent performance as he bowed out as president of America's controversial pro-gun group, the NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
