JIM CARREY's quirky movie ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND picked up five awards - including best film - from the ONLINE FILM CRITICS SOCIETY this week (ends14JAN05).

Film-maker MICHEL GONDRY was named best director and KATE WINSLET scooped best actress honours, with the film also earning awards for original screenplay and editing.

PAUL GIAMATTI and THOMAS HADEN CHURCH picked up best actor and best supporting actor trophies respectively for their efforts in the critically-acclaimed movie SIDEWAYS, which was also named best adapted screenplay.

MICHAEL MOORE's controversial film FAHRENHEIT 9/11 was named the year's best documentary, with THE INCREDIBLES winning as the top animated feature.

CATE BLANCHETT was named best supporting actress for her role in THE AVIATOR.
