Movie funnyman JIM CARREY is dedicating the rest of his acting career to destroying showbusiness.

The ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND star wants to leave his trademark comedy roles behind, to embrace more subversive movies which challenge stereotypical Hollywood films.

The 43-year-old tells British magazine EMPIRE, "What I honestly want to do is destroy showbusiness. If it could just manifest itself so I could kick my foot through it and start it all over again, that would be great.

"I want to do something different. I want my work to be different."
