ROBERT CARLYLE - CARLYLE DAMNS BRITISH 'BADDIE' STEREOTYPE

Scottish actor ROBERT CARLYLE has lashed out at the US movie industry for continually casting British actors as baddies
The TRAINSPOTTING star often snubs Hollywood offers where he is expected to play yet another villain, and he is disgusted American screen moguls lack the imagination or faith to give UK stars a broader variety of roles.
He sighs, "It tends to be villains in action movies. I need to be careful about how many I actually do.
"I don't think British actors get the respect they deserve in the States, because nine times out of ten they're going to get the villain."
